About OKE Community Church
The Church was founded by Elder B. L. Pitts in 1958. He was pastor of the church until 1972. Leadership was then passed on to Bishop Art Ladd who led the church from 1972 – 2016. Pastor Lawrence Ladd became the church lead pastor in 2016.
OKE City Community Church is a friendly loving church with a friendly pastor preaching a heavenly message and we are moving on! We are a Church of the community!
We are here for you and want to share the Good News! We believe that Jesus died on the cross for every wrong thing we have done and rose from the dead! Join us any Sunday for Word, fellowship, food and fun! God Bless!
Our Vision
The OKE City Community Church VisIon is to Glorify God, introduce Jesus Christ as Lord to as many people as possible, and to help believers grow and develop in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We hope to offer a place where everyone not only feels welcomed but loved.
“…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
Our Mission
The OKE City Community Church Mission is centered on:
- Saving Souls – Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Savior, with our community, state, country and abroad.
- Edification of the Saints – Providing sound Biblical teaching, worship experiences, service opportunities, and sweet fellowship to all age groups.
- Helping the Helpless – Providing timely real assistance to those in need.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
What We Believe
We believew that:
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is as relevant today as it was when it was written.
- Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the scriptures.
- That all who come to God through the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved and inherit eternal life.
" For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared unto all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." Titus 2:11-12
